Obituary of Joseph A. Cassineri
Joe Cassineri, late of Gardner passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 at his late residence. He was born February 9, 1952 in Joliet, IL the son of the late Angelo and Hazel Bell (nee Boswell) Cassineri. He was a longtime Joliet resident until relocating to Gardner 22 years ago. Joe was employed by the Operating Engineers Union Local #150. He is a member of South Wilmington Firemans Club. Joe was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing.
Surviving is his loving wife of 50 years, Debbie (nee Hurley) Cassineri of Gardner, IL; his daughter, Tammy Cassineri of Gardner, IL ; six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and a special papa to Aniyah and Lorenzo; 2 sisters, Edna Riggs of Braidwood, IL and Angela Cassineri of TN; many nieces, nephews and dear friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by two children, Anthony “Tony” Cassineri in 1997 and Lisa Sefcik in 2016.
Visitation for Joe Cassineri will be Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet, IL.
