Obituary of Magdalena Rodriguez

Magdalena Rodriguez, age 88, of Joliet, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Lightways Hospice.

She was born in Puerto Rico and was formerly of New York and Chicago.  Magdalena was an excellent cook, who loved to play the Lottery, and was a very devoted mother.

Surviving are her two sons, Jose (Lily) Rodriguez of Newark, IL, and Henry (Isella Torres) Rodriguez; five grandsons; three step-grandchildren; four sisters; and three brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and three brothers.

As it was Magdalena’s request, cremation rites have been accorded.  A Memorial Gathering will be held Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 1:00 until the time of services at 3:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, (at Essington Road), Joliet.
