Obituary of Judy K. Pina

Judith K. Pina, age 74, wife of Joseph M. Pina, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born March 6, 1947 in Lockport, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Helen M. (Kijowski) Finefield of Branson, MO.  Judy met Joe at the Lockport Roller Rink and married Joe before he went into the Navy. They lived in Lockport and had two children, Mike Pina and Christy Pina. After Christy was born, they built a house in Crest Hill, IL where they lived for 25 years. When Joe retired at age 50, they moved to Ridgedale, MO and lived on the lake for 17 years. After Judy's parents passed, they returned back to Minooka, IL.

Judy was a homemaker most of her life, but also worked as a secretary in the early years and also worked at a store with Joe in Branson, during their years in Missouri during retirement. Judy and her family always owned a boat and loved being out on the water.  Country line dancing was also something Joe and her would do together for years.  Judy 1oved to quilt and went to quilting guild club meetings for 20 years.  Judy also bowled on leagues off and on throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband for 55 years, Joseph M. Pina of Minooka, IL, her son, Michael (Terri) Pina of Plainfield, IL, and her daughter, Christine M. Pina of Minooka, IL.  She is also survived by her three sisters, Carol (Jerry) Richards of Lockport, IL, Nancy (Richard) Ledoux of Ridgedale, MO, and Debbie (Troy) McFall of Ridgedale, MO; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

There will be a visitation  for Judy on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, (at Essington Road), Joliet.  Entombment will be in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, 23060 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet.
