Obituary of Harriet L. Bryant

Age 96, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Lightways (formerly Joliet Area Community Hospice) Home.  She was born January 16, 1925, in Chicago, IL to the late Mary (nee Mears) and Jesse Filson.  Harriet was a longtime Joliet resident.  She retired from the Cafeteria at St. Joseph Medical Center after 20 years of service.

Harriet is the beloved mother of Lois (Bill) Maguire of Joliet, IL; loving grandmother of Timothy (Allison) Maguire of Indianapolis, IN, Michelle (fiance Liam James) Maguire of Campus, IL, and Matthew (Katelyn) Maguire of Greenwood, NE.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her husband James L. Bryant (1969); her parents; two brothers, Robert (Valeria) and Walter (late Eva) Filson; two sisters, Virginia (late Glen) Stawick and Marian (Robert) Mitchell.

As it was Harriet's wish, cremation rites have been accorded and her final earthly remains will be interred privately at Mt.
