Obituary of Donald Gornik

Donald L. Gornik Age 49. Passed away suddenly at his residence, Friday November 14, 2008. Survived by his wife, Sally (Nee Thomas) Gornik; a cherished loving daughter, Lauren; loving son, Jacob; loving mother, Marian Gornik of Joliet; three loving brothers, Glenn (Diane), Gregory (LuAnn) of Joliet and Dennis (Chris) of Michigan; two loving sisters, Diane (Thomas) Shiner, Mariane (Michael) Sabados of Missouri; several loving nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his father, Raymond J. Gornik. Don will be missed and remembered by his family and friends as a dedicated husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was an avid fisherman, enjoying the outdoors with his family in Ely, Minnesota. Proud member Wall of Fame Chicago White Sox Cellular Field Wall of Honor. Long time employee of Commonwealth Edison and Midwest Generation. Funeral services for Donald L. Gornik will be Tuesday, November 18, 2008, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Ambrose Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
