Obituary of Sandy E. Brown
Avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and long-time employee of Johns Manville, Inc., Sandy E. Brown’s love of life didn’t come to an end with his death. Sandy passed away at the age of 59 on May 30, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones that will continue to honor his legacy by living life to the fullest.
The simplest of pleasures in life brought Sandy great joy. In addition to fishing and hunting, he loved warm summer nights listening to country music with his family and a cold beer in hand. His kind, warm and gentle personality was felt by every person he met.
Sandy was born to the late William “Bill” H. Brown and Barbara J. Brown Watson in Indianapolis, IN, and is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 28 years Cindy “Cynthia”, step-children Rayna (Rick) Gregurich, Gena Lovett-Tate, and Paul (Darshall) Holthusen Thomas. Sandy cherished his grandchildren Elijah, Libby, Hannah, the late Claire, Maura, and Josie; was a dear brother to Jeanette (Jeff) McCormick and Cindy (Steve) Walters both of Monterey, KY, and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
