We have so many fond memories growing up next to your family in Frankfort. If you ever went trick or treating in Frankfort and stopped by Virginia's, you would be given a toothbrush instead of candy:). If I made a homemade apple cobbler on New Years Eve, I would call her to share a couple of pieces just to wish her a happy new year and check on her. We were neighbor's who cared for each other. In addition, Virginia was an incredible foster Mom who would almost always introduce me to the children staying with her. I just ran into one in Frankfort who stated she had just spoken to her Foster Mom and was excited to let her know she was doing well. Virginia volunteered for Catholic Charities and traveled to foreign countries to assist dentists with teaching good oral health care. She was always busy volunteering her time. Virginia left a legacy of caring for others. She will be greatly missed.

Virginia, we started our relationship as student/instructor as you did with many, many others. You very quickly became my mentor ( and never stopped), then my colleague, and then my friend. Now after 50 years we are physically parting as family.
But your memory and influence will be with me daily until we meet again. Happy trails to my second Mom.

We have lost our “Esther Wilkins” of PSC Dental Hygiene Those of us that are a part of the “senior” group she hired in, we owe her so much!! There is no one that dedicated herself more to PSC Dental Hygiene than Virginia. She gave us all so much to be proud of and taught us all so much about our profession. She was strong and fierce and , as she was affectionately called, our Sarg!! She made us all earn our stripes and we will be forever indebted. .. she made us the hygienists and educators we are today ! Rest In Peace Virg. You have earned your wings!! Love to her son Paul and daughter- in- law Laura
