Obituary of Ronald L. Bales
Ronald L. Bales
Age 69, of Braceville, IL, passed away at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet on Monday, May 31, 2021. He was born November 7, 1951, to the late Frances (nee Leever) and Ferris Bales in Joliet, IL where he was raised and educated.
Ron was a United States Marine Corp Veteran who served during the VietNam War.
A former member of the Teamsters, he was a retired truck driver who logged many miles over the years.
Survived by his children, Christine Bales, Jason Bales, and Jennifer (John) Moats; proud and devoted grandfather of Andrew and Ryan; Nicholas, Johnny, and Julianna. Also surviving are his sister, Nancy Connor, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his former wife, Donna Bales, and a brother, Jerry Bales.
Ron lived life under his own terms. As the song goes, "he did it his way" and although not every decision may have been the right one, he will always be remembered as a dependable, good provider to his family. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed horseracing, especially when his pick placed!
As it was Ronald’s wish, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial services will be private. For more information, please call (815) 942-5040 or visit his Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
