Obituary of Jane Muscato

(nee Ferko)

Age 75, of Morris, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Park Pointe Healthcare & Rehab Center.

Jane enjoyed travel, especially to Europe, wintering in Florida, reading, and movies. She was well known for her Italian and Slovak home-cooked dishes. But most of all she loved the time she spent with her grandchildren during all their various activities.

Jane graduated with a business degree from the Mid-State College of Commerce. She worked as a Sales Rep for No-Nonsense Nylons for many years, and for several local cable companies over several states in their early stages. However, the most important job to her was as the primary caregiver for over 30 years to her disabled son Nino.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Russell "Terry" Muscato; her son, Dominic (Jennifer) Muscato; grandchildren, Bella and Joe; her brother, Edward (Kay) Ferko; sisters-in-law, Sally Ferko, Gail (Brian) Phillips, Beth (Dennis) Potthoff, Mary (Mike) Biros, and Gina Muscato of Denver, CO; and brother-in-law Donald Koltveit.

Preceded in death by her son, Nino Vincent Muscato; her parents, Michael and Helen (nee Oster) Ferko; her husband's parents Russell and Jean (nee Slager) Muscato; brother, Ron Ferko; a sister in infancy, Marsha; sister-in-law Kaye Koltveit; and nephews Nigel Elias and Aaron Wasko.

Memorial visitation for family and friends will take place at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris, on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Lu Cantrell officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jane's name to Operation St. Nick in Morris would be appreciated.
