Obituary of Mary E. Malzone

Mary E. Malzone, 83, of Manteno passed away on July 15, 2021. 

 

She will be lovingly remembered by her blended family including her beloved husband Paul, loving children Gloria “Penny” (Ron) Rumore, Irene (late Robert) Tranowski, Jack (Karen) Colander, Shirley (Phil) Reitz, Jim (Birdie) Prendergast, Emma “Missy” (Karl) Wohler and late Joanne (Dan) Knight, dear step-children Paul (Maria), John (Patti) and Robert Malzone and Kathleen (Brian) Bendixon, 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mike (Rose) Dinwiddie and Pat Johnson and many nieces and nephews.

 

Past member of American Legion Post 854 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid reader, loved to crochet, knit and play the organ. 

 

Visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2021, 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Service of Remembrance at 6:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, (at Essington Road), Joliet.  Mary’s funeral will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood for graveside service at 11:30 a.m.
