Obituary of John Ashley

John F. Ashley "Jack" Age 69. Monday, September 15, 2008 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in California to the late Raymond and Scharlene Ashley, he was a Joliet area resident most of his life. Retired from Teamsters Union Local #179 in 1996. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Member of the American Legion Post #1080. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Oakland Raiders and Chicago Bears fan. Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, Judy (nee Fowler) Ashley of Joliet; three children, Deborah Ashley of Plainfield, John (Bernadette) Ashley of Goose Lake, IL and Sue (Mario) Pistilli of Plainfield; six grandchildren, Alyssa, Diane, Justin, T.J., Jaron and Jennifer; one sister, Geraldine Jankowski of Plainfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Norma Lorenz. Funeral Services for John F. Ashley will be Friday, September 19, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.
