Obituary of Mark Neal Albright

Mark Neal Albright

Mark Neal Albright, 64, of Joliet, IL, passed away on July 31, 2021, at his home with his loving family by his side, while watching the Cubs game. Mark was born on March 30, 1957, in Joliet, IL, to the late Kenneth and Edna (Correll) Albright. He was raised in Crest Hill, IL and graduated from Lockport Central High School, Class of 1975. He married Janice Marie Huffman on June 7, 1980 at Grace United Methodist Church. He was employed by Apollo Colors, Inc. in Rockdale, IL for 38 years, where he worked as a Pigment Supervisor and retired in 2019.

Mark loved playing and watching sports, especially baseball, bowling, hockey, and golf. His proudest accomplishments in sports were winning the Joliet Bowling Association City Tournament in 1992 and bowling a perfect 300 game in 2002. He was a life-long Cubs and Raiders fan and loved watching the Cubs win the world series in 2016. He also enjoyed playing poker and blackjack at the casino and celebrated his 60th birthday with a memorable trip to Las Vegas. He also had a love of trivia from his father and liked playing games, especially trivia and word games, but his greatest joy of all was spending time with his family.

Mark was a loving husband, devoted father, great brother, good friend and the kindest person ever. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 41 years Janice (Huffman) Albright; his daughter, Lisa Brianne (fiancé, John Bizzotti) Albright and son, Scott Kenneth Albright; his twin brother, Paul (Vedie) Albright and sister, Barbara (Mike) Fisher; his brothers-in-law, Frank (Margie) Huffman, David (Deb) Huffman, Jim (Karen) Huffman; sister-in-law, Carla Taylor; along with many nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by many great friends and coworkers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Edna Albright; and his sister, Doris Runnels.

The family would like to thank all those who called, texted, visited, and sent him their love, support, and prayers throughout his courageous battle. The family also wishes to send a special thank you to Jenn and Jo for all their care and compassion.
