Graham, Harold Patrick
Harold Patrick Graham, 71, of Shorewood passed away April 7 at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia (Liker), his daughters, Colleen (Thomas) Dow and Christine (Matthew) Gambs, and his three grandchildren, Katie Dow and Charlie and Michael Gambs. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Clara Liker.
With Patricia, Pat started HP Graham Construction Company in 1969, and his love of building roads expanded into developing real estate in Illinois, Florida, and Hawaii. Most recently, he proudly worked with a group of local friends to found First Community Bank.
Pat was a proud graduate of the Cathedral of St. Raymond School, Joliet Catholic High School, and Lewis University. He proudly served with the Illinois National Guard. He sincerely believed in the power of education to change lives and gladly shared his time, talent, and treasure with his alma mater, most recently serving as a Trustee at Lewis University. He also served on the Parent Board and Board of Trustees at his daughters' alma mater, St. Mary's Notre Dame. Generations of students to come will continue to benefit from endowed scholarships in the Graham Family name at both St. Mary's and Lewis.
Pat was a lifelong Joliet resident and member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Parish, where he ushered noon Mass for many years. He was also a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus and Joliet Elks Lodge.
Funeral Services for Harold P. Graham will be Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial to be con-celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Brad Baker and Fr. Bernhard Baverle officiating. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's name to the Cathedral of St. Raymond School in Joliet and All Saints Catholic Academy in Naperville will be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 2-8 p.m. at:
