Lillian Gutierrez
(nee Gonzalez)

Lillian Gutierrez, of Crest Hill, formerly of Lockport, passed away peacefully, at the age of 70, on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Amita St. Joseph Medical Center. Lillian was born on September 15, 1950, in Edinburg, Texas, the daughter of the late Lindolfo and Guadalupe (nee Mendez) Gonzalez.  

Lillian was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  She enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, and spending time with her grandkids.  Lillian was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished grandmother.  She will be missed by all who loved her.

Lillian is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Frank Gutierrez, Jr.; her children, Frank Gutierrez, III, Rhonda (Scott) Beck, and Tom Gutierrez; three grandchildren, Nicolas, Joshua, and Mackenzie Beck; and three siblings. 

She is preceded by her parents and two siblings. 

Funeral Services for Lillian Gutierrez will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 404 N. Hickory St., Joliet, IL, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.   As it was her request, cremation rites will be accorded following the services.  

Inurnment will take place on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to meet at 12:15 p.m. at the information center for a 12:30 p.m. committal service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
