Obituary of Venus Grant

Venus Grant Venus "Vern" Grant, age 84, of Joliet and formerly of Hickory Hills and the Argo-Summit area, passed away April 6, 2011. Beloved husband of 56 years to Geraldine "Gerry"; loving father of James M. (Kathleen) and Jeffery D. (Joyce) Grant. Proud grandpa of three and great-grandpa of six. Dear brother of Hazel, Jewel, Paul and Elford. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his parents and three siblings. A US Army Veteran, Gene retired from F.J. Sibr & sons and recently received a 50 year pin from Local #701. Visitation Sunday April 10, 2011 from 2-6 p.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Joliet.
