Obituary of Michael Patrick McQuillan

Michael Patrick McQuillan, age 60, of Shorewood, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center.  Mike was born and raised in Jackson, MI and moved to Joliet in 1973.  He is formerly of Chicago, living in Shorewood the past 6 years.  Mike graduated from Joliet Catholic High School (JCA).   

 

Mike was an avid golfer, with one hole in one to his credit.  He was a Chicago Cubs fan and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family. 

 

Mike is survived by his five siblings, Jim, (Mary Pat) McQuillan, Kathleen (Jack) Kratzmeyer, Molly (Paul Howard) Doherty, Tom McQuillan, and Greg (Tari) McQuillan; and his aunt Jane McQuillan.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.

 

He is preceded by his parents, F. Patrick and Mary Ann (Green) McQuillan (2015).

 

Visitation for Michael Patrick McQuillan will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be held privately by the family at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
