Obituary of Philip Cain Collins
Philip Cain Collins
Philip Cain Collins passed away at the age of 40, on Monday, September 13, 2021, in Wilmington, IL. Phil was born in Harvey, IL, on March 19, 1981, the son of Billy Ray and Laura Katherine (nee Cooper) Collins. He was a graduate of School City of Hammond.
Phil was a “gentle giant” who could win the heart of anyone he met. He enjoyed being outdoors, had a love for animals, and found comfort not only in listening to music, but writing lyrics as well. He was artistically talented and had a gift of golden hands, anything he did he was good at.
Phil loved his family more than anything and always enjoyed when they would all get together for any and every occasion.
Phil is survived by his son, Vincent Charles Collins; his parents; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded by his paternal grandmother, Margaret Collins; his great-great aunt, Frances Jaranowski; the grandmother he never met, Dolores Cooper; and grandfather, Wayne Cooper.
Funeral Services for Philip Cain Collins will be held privately by the family and cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to any Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
