Obituary of Lynn Sanches

Virginia “Lynn” Sanches

Age 70, of Morris, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the Amita St. Joseph Medical Center. Lynn was born in Puyallup, Washington to the late William and Virginia Rakes, but moved to this area at a young age, graduating from Morris High School, class of ’69. She married her husband of over 40 years, Isidro Sanches on April 25, 1975.  Lynn has worked for over 30 years helping the mentally and socially challenged at Illinois Valley Industries. However, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving is her son, Allen (Teresa) Sanches; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Sanches; her brothers, Mike (Sandy)Rakes, Patrick Rakes, and Casy Rakes; her sister, Terry Mathias;  grandchildren, Jacob and Josh Garrett, Mandie Sanches, Kristen and Katie Prodehl, Ashley and Alexis Boivin, and Ryan and Mia Sanches and her great-grandchildren Nataleigh and Bentley.

Preceded in death by her loving husband, Isidro Sanches; her parents; her daughter, Laurie Boivin and her son, Mike Sanches.

As it was her final wish, cremation rites for Lynn have been accorded. All friends and family are invited to celebrate Lynn’s life and share memories at a Memorial Visitation on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home chapel, 1201 W.
