Obituary of Verna Knorr
Age 77 of Joliet, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County. Jean was born in Joliet, the daughter of the late William Boyd and Vera Muraro and was a lifelong resident. She was formerly employed by Kerr Glass Rockdale and operated K & J Cleaning. Jean was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas L. Knorr, Sr. of Joliet; her two sons, Thomas L. (Marie) Knorr Jr. of Joliet and Paul (Carrie) Knorr of Wilmington; her special nieces, Robin (Paul) Benson of Joliet and the late Donna Dunbar; five grandchildren, Mary Kate Knorr, Emily (Tom) Kelly, Caroline Knorr, Conner Knorr and Harper Knorr; great-granddaughter, Kathleen Kelly; brothers, Sonny (Rose) Boyd and Dick (Lynn) Boyd; sister, Ida Louise Muraro; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Jean is preceded by her parents; step-father, Bucky Muraro; sisters, Anna Mae Wallace and Lillias Carnes; brothers, Thomas and Bill Boyd.

Visitation for Jean Knorr will be Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday, October 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. Face masks are required. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
