Obituary of Blanche E. Sobun
Age 82, of Joliet, IL passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center.
She was born on November 3, 1938 to the late Eva (nee Wojcik) and Al Raducha in Chicago, IL. She was raised and educated on the City’s south side.
Blanche is survived by her sons, Tom, Mike (Ann Marie) and Steve (Cheryl) Sobun all of Joliet; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Hannah Sobun; and three grandsons, Jake, Nicholas and Ryan Sobun.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sobun; two daughters, Kristine Sobun, Janet Sobun, one son, John Sobun and her brother, Dennis Raducha.
Blanche was employed as an Underwriter for Aetna and United Healthcare. She will be remembered fondly for her quick wit, common sense and for pulling no punches…she called it as she saw it.
A Memorial Gathering for Blanche will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. A service of remembrance will begin at 2 p.m. Cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
