Obituary of Carolyn Donners
Age 82 of Joliet, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. She was born in Joliet, the daughter of the late Raymond and Feligia (Damato) Wright, and was a lifelong resident. Carolyn graduated from Joliet Township High School with the class of 1958. She retired from Kmart in New Lenox in 2001 following 25 years of service. Carolyn was an avid sports fan, more specifically, she loved her Cubs.
Surviving are her two sons, Raymond (Janice) Donners of Joliet and Kent (Erlinda) Donners of Joliet; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Melissa Wisniewski) Donners, Kenneth (Kaitlyn) Donners, Michael (Jennifer Johnson) Donners, Kimberly Donners, Tasha Mobley, Dominque (Jair Sosa) Donners and Shareata Donners; four great-grandchildren, Anton Donners, Daniel Donners, Logan Donners, and Serenity Donners; two sisters, her twin, Marilyn (late John) Lopez and Elaine (Don) Huber. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Carolyn is preceded by her parents; her grandson, Jonathan Raymond Donners; and her great-granddaughter, Harmony Faith Donners.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Carolyn’s neighbor, whom she considered a daughter, Cindy Pershey, and her daughter, April Pinkston, and her children, Lily, Russell, and Emma Pinkston for all their love and support.
Visitation for Carolyn Donners will be Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Willard Grove Cemetery in Channahon.
