Obituary of Larry Atkinson
Larry C. Atkinson
Age 65, of Elwood, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at his home.
Born November 17, 1944 in Morris, IL to the late Chelsea and Marie (nee Kindelspire) Atkinson, he was a lifetime area resident.
Survived by his daughter and sons, Lori (Terry) Smith, Larry Atkinson, Jr. and Donald (Chanda) Atkinson; five grandchildren, Terry Jr., Tara and Tiffany Smith; Brittany Atkinson and Donovan "Cash" Atkinson. Also survived by one sister, Cheryl (Jerry) Rainey; one brother, James (Adeline) Atkinson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, William and Robert and Charles Paul in infancy.
Larry was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in Germany in the early 1960's. He was the owner and operator of R-Way Plastics on Route 53. A patriotic man, he was a member of the American Legion and in earlier years, enjoyed hunting and fishing.
As it was Larry's request, cremation rites have been accorded and private services will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be made to the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad. Arrangements by:
