Obituary of Todd Weston Garrison

Age 78 of Joliet, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center.  Todd was born in Kansas City, MO, the son of the late Michael Garrison and Lucile Clevenger.  He was raised in Bartonville, IL, residing and working in Morton, IL for over 10 years and living in Joliet for over 30 years.  He was a graduate of Limestone Community High School, class of 1961, he received his Bachelor’s Degree from Drake University and his Master’s Degree in counseling from Bradley University.  Todd is a retired licensed clinical professional counselor following over 35 years of service.

He has been a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Joliet for over 24 years.  Todd was a presidential and family history buff.  He was always happy staying connected with family, longtime friends and colleagues.

Surviving is his loving wife of 27 years, Judith (Ghidara) Garrison of Joliet; his children, Jodi (Rich) Lanis of Chicago, Sean Garrison of Lake Villa, IL, Elizabeth (Darren) Peters of Durham, NC and Mike Lauterbach of Durham, NC; his step-children, Jennifer (Alex) Beck of Shorewood and Kevin (Holly) Sadowski of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Madelyn Sadowski, Eva Beck, Nolan Sadowski, Max Beck, Jon Garrison, Julia Garrison, Theo Peters and Henry Peters; his sister, Luann (Dan) Powell of Pekin, IL; daughter-in-law, Kelly Garrison; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded by his parents; and his brother, Mike Garrison.

Visitation for Todd Weston Garrison will be Friday, November 12, 2021 at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, from 5:00-9:00 p.m.  Todd will lie in state, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church, 805 Western Avenue, Joliet from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to First Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
