Obituary of Marilyn Louise Johnson
Marilyn Louise (Lovel) Johnson, age 80, of Morris, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Morris Hospital. She was born August 12, 1941, to the late Seville and Pearl (Saltsman) Lovel.
Marilyn was born and raised in Morris, graduating in 1959. In the early 1970s, with then husband, Woody Johnson, they moved to Australia with their children, Casey and Shane. After their return to Morris, they moved to the Florida Keys before returning to Illinois later in life.
Marilyn’s careers included being a Florida Park Ranger, Preschool Teacher, and Photographer at Olan Mills. She enjoyed antique shopping, theater, art, collecting family photos, and her family heritage. But mostly she enjoyed visiting with family.
Marilyn will be remembered for her love for her family, being creative with her grandchildren, and her true kindness.
Survived by her children, Casey (Nancy) and Shane (Claudette) Johnson; grandchildren, Tyler (Nicole), Maddie, Woody, and Seconcea Johnson and one great-grandchild, Alexis Johnson.
Preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Christian Johnson.
