David Max Scobee
Age 77, late of Yorkville, IL passed from this life Tuesday evening, November 23, 2021 at Park Pointe Healthcare and Rehab Center in Morris, IL.
David was born in Collinsville, MO and had resided in Montrose, Iowa, Yorkville, IL and Knoxville, TN. He was a computer programmer who retired from the Dial Corporation after many years of dedicated service.
He is the beloved father of Leah Scobee of Columbus, Ohio, and David (Karen) Scobee of Minooka, IL; Proud and devoted grandfather of Violet, Caroline, and Charlotte; dear brother of Louise DeGeeter, and fond uncle of several nieces and nephews, including Dan (Cheryl) DeGeeter.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ora M. Scobee and Ruth R. Madden.
Dave will be remembered fondly by his family as a methodical, practical person who was always willing to help those in need. His hobbies included anything outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and boating.
As it was Mr. Scobee’s wish cremation rites have been accorded.
All friends and relatives are invited to join Dave’s family in celebrating his life on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 1201 W. Route 6 (at Deerpath Dr.) in Morris.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dave’s name can be sent to Leah Scobee through Venmo @leah-scobee to be given to K9s for Warriors.
