Beverley Jean Hoffman, 88, of rural Wabash, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Beverly was born on January 29, 1933, in Joliet, Illinois, to Ernest E. and Ina B. (Backstrom) Copas.

Beverley was an X-Ray technician for over 30 years before retiring. Beverly was a longtime parishioner of the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Joliet. In her free time, she enjoyed puzzles and watching the birds. Beverley lived the past two years in Wabash, IN, formerly in Minnesota, and was a longtime resident of Joliet.  

Beverly is survived by six children, Terrie Wronkiewicz of Peoria, Illinois, David (William Shaw) Hoffman of Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, Kenneth (Karen) Hoffman of Clear Lake, Minnesota, Pennie (Patrick) Crowley of Shorewood, Illinois, Michael (Kathy) Hoffman of Columbia, Illinois, and Cynthia (Michael) Armes of Wabash; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Gene Eldon Hoffman (2017); her parents; and two sisters, Lucille Eaton and Erma Dorre.

A Memorial Mass for Beverley Jean Hoffman will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Ave., Joliet. Inurnment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
