Although Karen and I didn’t know Niki very well we did have the privilege of getting to know various members of her family. It’s truly devastating the promising life of a young woman, a mother, a friend to many has ceased it’s earth bound journey. There is also the traumatic reality the people, the souls Niki has touched in her time on earth has to endure the painful void left by her passing. Her family, her friends all adored Niki, seeing her as glimmer of light in their own journeys. The unthinkable pain her parents have to endure, the indescribable misery her sisters will be forced to carry, the unanswerable question of “Why her?” her friends will be forever asking. Niki has touched all of our hearts in some manner, and that will be a guiding beacon for us to follow. Live life like Niki did, to the fullest, savor the precious moments, taste everything life has to offer. Share your heart and soul with anyone who is willing to share with you. Niki will always be watching over us. Smile in that thought and know for the rest of eternity she will possess some part of all of our hearts. The memories we all have of her will ensure her spiritual immortality on earth.
