Obituary of Darlene Lorrain Snyder
Age 83 of Minooka and formerly of Plainfield, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 12, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family. Darlene was born on January 19, 1938, in Melrose Park, IL, the daughter of the late Edward and Erna Puttkammer.
She was married to the late John Snyder, who passed away in 2010. Darlene loved camping in Rome, WI on Lake Camelot.
Darlene is survived by her son, John (Kristina) Snyder of Minooka; 6 grandchildren, Todd Cain, Jacob Snyder, Jordan Joplin, Darcy Snyder, Matthew Snyder, and Brett Snyder; 3 great-grandchildren, Alex Snyder, Jonathan Snyder, and Connor Joplin; and her sister, Dawn Sweeney of Elmhurst.
She is preceded by her loving husband, John Snyder; her daughter, Melody Cain (1995); her brother, Dwaine Puttkammer; and sister, Donielle Puttkammer.
Visitation for Darlene "Cookie" Snyder will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet on Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 12:00 Noon until the time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. As it was her request, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
