Obituary of Steven W. Drzazinski

Age 91 of Shorewood, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the Lightways Hospice Home.  He was born in Lisle, IL, formerly of Burbank, IL, living in Shorewood for the past 13 years.  A U.S. Marine Corp Veteran of the Korean War and a recipient of the Korean Service Medal and UN Service Medal.  Steve married Sarah Belfiore on July 31, 1954.  He was employed as a service repairman with Sears for over 30 years.  He was a member of the VFW Post of Burbank, IL.  Steve loved oil painting and building model airplanes.  Steve and Sarah’s love affair was nothing short of a storybook.  Their love for each other grew stronger as time marched on.

Steven was the loving father of Deborah (Anthony) Miranda of Shorewood, Steven Drzazinski of Florida, Angela Martin of Frankfort, IL, and Edward (Donna) Drzazinski of Florida; devoted grandfather of Christopher (Joanna) Miranda, Brad (Gina) Miranda, Crystal and Brooke Drzazinski, Joseph Martin, Jessica (Bryan) Johnston, Brittany Martin, Eddie, David and Erik Drzazinski; proud great-grandfather of Maya, Benjamin, Bella, Vincent, Sofia, Harper, Hudson, and Hallie.

He was preceded by his loving wife of 64 years, Sarah (2018); his parents; brother, Ed Drzazinski; and three sisters, Mary, Irene, and Florence.

Visitation for Steve W. Drzazinski will be Monday, December 27, 2021, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL 60431, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where full Military Honors will be accorded by the United States Marine Corp. and Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad.
