Obituary of Thomas N. Thompson
Age 78 of Crest Hill, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at Silver Cross Hospital. He was born in Joliet, the son of the late William and Mary (Dornerich) Thompson. He was a lifelong area resident. Tom graduated from Joliet Township High School with the Class of 1962. He was a retired Master Carpenter and was also a welder and enjoyed being a Master Woodcarver. Tom was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors.
Surviving are his loving wife, Joyce (Harris) Thompson of Crest Hill; six children, Michelle (Don) Mokry, Holly Thompson, Michael (Lori) Harris, Melissa (Carl) Zusag, Rebecca (Nick) Anatos, and Angela (Robert) Ellerbrock; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded by his son, Michael Thompson; and his parents.
Visitation for Thomas N. Thompson will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
