Obituary of Katherine A. Camis

Katherine A. Camis, age 71, of Joliet for the past 19 years, and formerly of Burbank, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center Joliet.

She was born on February 11, 1950, in Berwyn, IL, the daughter of the late Mel and Delores Peterson.

Her beloved husband of 52 years, Michael J. Camis, Sr., preceded her in death on September 29, 2021. She was also preceded by her parents.

Surviving are her son, Michael (Pamela) Camis Jr., of Plainfield; her daughter, Tammy (Joe) Zeko of Plainfield; four grandchildren, Michael Camis III, Timothy Camis, Joseph Zeko and Steven Zeko; and her great-grandson, Michael Camis IV; two sisters, Toni Viti and Jeannie Lies; and her brother, Mel Peterson Jr.

Funeral Services for Katherine A. Camis were held privately by the family.
