Obituary of Elioth G. Marroquin
Age 52 of Lockport, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born in Guatemala and emigrated to the U.S. in 1981. He is formerly of Cicero, residing in Lockport for over 30 years. Elioth graduated from Romeoville High School with the class of 1988. He was a proud union plumber, initially with Local #501 until it merged to Local #130. He coached soccer in the community for 25 years and was a trainer for Chicago Rush.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, April (Reynolds) Marroquin of Lockport; three children, Elliot Marroquin of Joliet, Alyssa Marroquin, and Alexis Marroquin both of Lockport; his granddaughter, Elena Marroquin; his mother, Esperanza Ruiz of TN; sister, Sylvia Marroquin; two brothers, Edwin (Nancy) Marroquin of FL, and Hector (Carlos) Marroquin of TX; his mother-in-law, Rosette Wright of Shorewood; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his father, Otoniel Marroquin.
Visitation for Elioth G. Marroquin will be held Friday, January 7, 2022, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet 60431 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following visitation.
