Luther J. Todd died Sunday evening January 9, 2022 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home at the age of 85, surrounded by family.

Luther was born in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Devoted to his wife of 62 years, Charlotte and two children, Cynthia Todd Apostolou and Dr. Timothy Todd; grandson, Michael (Amy Miller) Apostolou.  He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Ross (Nancy) Beck, Roger (Becky) Beck; sister-in-law, Sue Todd as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends that have become like family.

Luther was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from Caterpillar of Joliet after 43 years.  He was one of the longest members of Joliet First Assembly of God Church.  He was also a certified flight instructor at the Joliet Airport for many years.

Preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Pearl (Cornwell) Todd and one brother, Arthur Todd.

Visitation for Luther will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. until funeral services begin at 10:30 a.m.   Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
