Obituary of Petra Cristina Linos Hernandez

Petra Cristina Linos Hernandez, age 80, of Crest Hill, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at Palos Community Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

Born April 29, 1941 in Guerrero, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Miguel Linos and Maria Avila. She married the love of her life, Juvencio Hernandez, and they enjoyed 53 happy years together.

A woman with a strong conviction, courage, pride, and an indomitable spirit and soul…a warrior. A woman who filled our lives with education, strong values, life, and endless beautiful moments. A woman who most importantly filled our lives with kindness, compassion, and love. The best mom in the world. And even through tough times, she was a woman who would always open her arms wide open to make one feel loved.

Cristina is survived by her devoted sons, Juan, Cesar, Hector, Miguel, her daughters-in-law, Ana, Stephanie, Jannette, and her adoring grandchildren, Kristian, Adriana, Orion, Biviana, Nina Catalina, Noe, and Bebe Lindo-Ector.

A celebration of Cristina’s life will be held at a later time when it is safe for family and friends to gather and honor her legacy.
