Obituary of Dorothy A. Borowski
Age 87, of Morris, IL and formerly Joliet, IL passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at home.
She was born on April 22, 1934 to the late Mary (nee Fulton) and Michael Creamean in Streator, IL where she was raised and educated. After graduating from Streator High School with the class of 1952, Dorothy moved to Joliet and worked at Caterpillar Inc until she and her late husband Jacob started their family.
In addition to Jacob "Jack" Borowski, her husband of 64 years, she is also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Jill and her parents.
Dorothy is the beloved mother of Danette (Billy) Kennelly, Mitchell (late Jill) Borowski and Paula (William) Krohn; loving grandmother of Ryan (Jessica) Kennelly, Heather (Nicholas) Goodweiler; Eric (Brittany) Borowski; Kevin Krohn and Nicholas Krohn; proud great grandmother of Cooper, Amelia and Emmett. She is also survived by her brother, Ray (Rosemary) Creamean and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Borowski enjoyed volunteering at Holy Cross School in Joliet for many years. Her hobbies included reading, baking, trying out new recipes on family and weekend excursions with Jack.
Visitation for Dorothy will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 3 - 5 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. A funeral service will conclude the evening, beginning at 5 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
