Obituary of Lori A. McGuire

Lori McGuire passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, in Denver, Colorado.

Lori was born November 3, 1960, in Joliet, Illinois to James and Judy (Rogan) McGuire. Lori was a graduate of Saint Francis Academy (1978), Joliet Junior College, and Illinois State University. She also earned a master's degree from Illinois State University.

Lori enjoyed swimming and was a member of the Joliet Swim Team for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed golf, watching football, country music, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed watching comedies with her family and friends. Lori particularly enjoyed Planes, Trains and Automobiles, and The Honeymooners, and would often recite the funny lines of the show.

She is survived by her loving mother, Judy; brother; Daniel (Anne) McGuire, DDS; aunt, Marilyn McGuire; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, James McGuire (2021); grandparents, Francis and Maxine Rogan; Emmett and Mildred McGuire; cousins, Tom McGuire and Michael Carey; uncles, Paul and Jack (Mitzi) McGuire; and aunt Helen (August) La Barre.

Visitation for Lori McGuire will be held Friday, February 25, 2022, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet from 3-5 p.m.  Visitation will continue Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until chapel prayers at 9:30 a.m. then to the Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough St., Joliet where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.  Memorials in her name to Lightways Hospice or St. Jude School would be appreciated.  For more information please call (815) 741-5500 or you may visit her Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com where you can share a favorite memory or leave an online condolence
