Obituary of Tricia Hernandez
Tricia Hernandez, mother and lifelong resident of Illinois died unexpectedly on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the young age of 35.
Tricia is survived by her parents, Dave (Kim) Hernandez and Dora Martinez; her fiancé, David Medina; and her daughter, Anaya Medina; her Goddaughters, Jessabelle Rivera and Keyala Dougherty; her grandfather, Beto Guzman; and grandmother, Juanita Torrez; her brother, Joseph Cantrell; and sister Starr Barrera along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her grandparents, Sue (Chano) Guzman and Jose Martinez Jr.; and her uncles, Raul, Isidro, and George.
Tricia was a student, nurse, teacher, aunt, sister, daughter, niece, devoted mother and to some, she was just a friend, but that didn’t change the love she had in her heart for you. She was a kind and caring woman, an ear to turn to whenever needed. Her favorite movie was Selena. She loved dancing and singing, especially to Nsync. Her favorite color was baby blue, a fact she’d never let anyone forget. She loved dolphins, didn’t matter what it was, a picture, a sculpture, or even a poster, she wanted it. She loved going to Chicago and heading to the beach as a family. She would go out of her way to help if she was able to. Tricia loved to cook and make sure everyone ate. I can’t count the number of times she yelled at me for being “too skinny”. She enjoyed taking pictures and making crafts for any event she could. She loved her family and planning get-togethers. Tricia wanted to be involved with and around the people she loved constantly. She will be so deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a great woman and was taken from us way to soon.
A celebration of Tricia's beautiful life is scheduled from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11th, 2022 at Standing in the Word Ministries, 2480 N. State Route 47 Morris, Illinois 60450. Flowers and condolences can be sent to the address listed.
