John G. Beer
4/21/1937-3/4/2022
Late of Chicago, Harwood Heights and Plainfield passed away Friday, March 4, 2022.
He was the loving husband of Mary Ann (Lewicke) Beer; son of the late Johann Georg and Susanna (Kraemer) Beer; father of Debra and David (Renee) Beer; beloved papa to granddaughters, Marissa, Tara (Jose), Deanna (Alex) and Gianna; step-granddaughters, Maggie, Dora and great-granddaughters Ella and Tessa; brother of Leona Poltera and brother-in-law of Lorraine, the late Ed, Darlene and Omar; uncle to Steven, Jeff , Arnie and Mike.
John loved life, spending time with family especially when the ”whole gang” was there. Good food, sunshine and tending to his plants were his passion.
Special thanks to Vascular Intervention Radiation’s Dr. Sichlau and staff for their “bag of tricks” and Dr. Macrinici and staff for all they had up “their sleeves” that gave our Dad four extra years to spend with us, especially his youngest girls.
Services were held privately by the family. Memorials in his name can be made to the American Liver Foundation Liver Disease Communities. Liver Disease Stories - ALF (liverfoundation.org) or Lightways Hospice of Joliet, IL Donation Form (donorperfect.net) would be appreciated. For more information, please call (815) 741-5500 or you may visit his Memorial Tribute where you can share a favorite memory or leave an online condolence.
