Obituary of Sara Hahn

Sara Maria Hahn (nee Hohnstadt) Age 44, of Shorewood, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 20, 2009, with her family at her side at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, after a courageous battle against cancer. Born in Richmond, WI on December 28, 1964 to Maria (nee Coon) Franck and Carl Hohnstadt, Sara was a former resident of Darien; she graduated from Downers Grove South High School and attended Northern Illinois University in Dekalb. Employed as a secretary by Argonne National Laboratories in Darien for 17 years. She enjoyed scrapbooking and needlework but above all, cherished being a mother to her boys. Beloved wife of 17 years to Larry; loving mother of Maxim and Kirill; dearest daughter of Maria (Leon) Franck and Carl (Joan) Hohnstadt; fond sister of Eric (Rachel) and Paul (Marta) Hohnstadt; dear stepsister of Sheri (Tim) Murphy and Scott (Lisa) Franck. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by her grandparents and stepbrother, Kevin Franck. Funeral Services for Sara Hahn will be Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David Nygard officiating. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery.
