Obituary of Thomas J. Bukowski, Sr.
Age 84 of Joliet, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Lightways Hospice Home. He was born in Chicago, the son of the late John Sr. and Anna (Lach) Bukowski, and was a resident of Joliet. He is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Tom retired from UPS following 30 years of service. He was a former member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society of the Church of St. Jude, Joliet.
Surviving are his two children, Victoria Morales and Thomas J. Bukowski, Jr.; he was the “Paw” of Jason, Dominic, Samantha, Nicholas and Teresa; two great-grandchildren, Jerry Thomas and Lydia Kay; his sister-in-law, Ann Bukowski; and many nieces and nephews survive.
He is preceded by his loving wife, Frances (Hiller) Bukowski (2014); his parents; siblings, Margaret, Jean, John Jr., Jimmy, Richard, Steve, Leonard, Anna Marie and Kenneth.
Visitation for Thomas J. Bukowski, Sr. will be Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough Street, Joliet, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
