Obituary of Cynthia A. Campbell
Cynthia A. Campbell, age 74, of Joliet, IL, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2022 at her home with her family at her side. She was born March 20, 1947 in Carmi, IL to Modell and the late Roy Leathers.
Survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, David Campbell; her mother, Modell Leathers; her loving children, John W. (Meagan) Leathers, Christine Campbell, Andrew (Natalie Fitzpatrick) Campbell; adoring grandchildren, Jakob, Brooklynn and Trenton Leathers, Alexandria Campbell and Addison Campbell; dear sisters, Patricia (the late Richard) Maxwell and Anita (Brian) Armentano; aunt, cousin, and dear friend of many.
Cynthia spent most of her life in Joliet, IL and graduated from Joliet Central High School, Class of 1964. She worked for the Joliet Arsenal for nine years before meeting the love of her life. She married David Campbell on December 23, 1977 and they raised their three children in Joliet.
Was a member of Izaak Walton League of America. She enjoyed camping, boating, and spending time with her family along the Kankakee River. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed playing cards and games with her many dear friends.
Visitation for Cynthia A. Campbell will be Wednesday, March 23 , 2022 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 24, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment private.
