Ronald S. Cingrani
Age 75, of Morris, IL, passed from this life on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Loyola University's Foster G. McGaw Hospital in Maywood, IL.
Ron was born November 27, 1946, to the late Devota (Gray) and Samuel Cingrani in Chicago, IL. He was raised in Harvey, IL and after graduating high school, he served his country honorably in the United States Navy.
After returning from the service, he began his career with Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) and lived in Dyer, IN before he was transferred to the LaSalle Station in 1987 and moved to Morris, IL. He retired from ComEd in 1996.
He is the beloved husband of 50 years to Nancy (Janich) Cingrani; loving father of Chris (Michelle) Cingrani and Cathy "Bean" Knapp (Darrell Bergeron); proud and devoted "Papa" of Carter and Edie Cingrani; Maddy "Lucy,” Will "Willy" and Jack Knapp; dear brother of Rick (Anne) Cingrani, JoAnn Morgan (Tom Yacovoczi), David (Susie) Cingrani and brother-in-law, Roy (Chris) Janich. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Devota Cingrani, and Nancy's parents, Roy and Virginia Janich.
Ron, a fun-loving and optimistic soul will be remembered for being an avid golfer who was fond of the warm sun, visits to the casino, and any "oldies" song. His greatest passion was his family and his true calling as a devoted "Papa.”
A Memorial Visitation for Ron will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 4-8 pm at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 (at Deerpath Dr.) in Morris. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Committal prayers and military honors will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorials in his name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
