Obituary of Richard J. Allen

Richard James “Todd” Allen, age 74, a longtime Joliet resident, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022 at Landmark of Richmond Park.

Richard was born June 5, 1947 in Joliet, and was preceded by his father, Richard Allen; his mother, Josephine (Sukle) Shiffer; and his step-father, Richard Shiffer.

He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Danielle) Allen and Kayci (James) Burnette; and his grandchildren, Addison and Corey Allen.

Todd worked as a manager for the former Fitness Forum in Lockport.  He loved riding his bike and fishing.

Visitation for Richard “Todd” Allen will held Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet.  Funeral services will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., from the funeral home to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 416 N. Chicago Street, Joliet.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
