Ricky A. Fleetwood
Age 68, of Morris, IL passed from this life Wednesday evening, March 23, 2022, at the Lightways Hospice Home of Joliet.
He was born June 18, 1953, in DeKalb, IL to the late Helen (nee Van Cleave) and Maurice Fleetwood, Sr.
Ricky was a longtime Morris area resident. He graduated from the former Marseilles High School. He resided at the Friendship House in Ottawa for a few years and was also a client of the Illinois Valley Workshop. His hobbies included solving word find puzzles, watching game shows, old westerns, and anything Disney. He was a "numbers guy" who had an innate ability to figure exact change in the blink of an eye.
In addition to his loving parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Diane Fleetwood, and two brothers, Maurice Fleetwood, Jr. and Barry Fleetwood (in infancy).
Ricky is survived by six sisters, Mary (Bill) Lackey, Pat Bannon, Marcia (Tim) Grieves, Gail Fleetwood, Tina Fleetwood, and Donna Fleetwood; three brothers, John (Betty) Fleetwood, Steve Fleetwood, and Joe Fleetwood (Laura McMillan). Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also survive.
A Memorial Visitation for Ricky will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until services begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 1201 W. Route 6 (at Deerpath Drive) Morris. Interment of his cremains will follow at Seward Mound Cemetery in Minooka.
In lieu of flowers memorials in his name can be made to Lightways Hospice of Joliet, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.
