Judith Budzinski

Obituary of Judith L. Budzinski

Judith L. “Judy” Budzinski, age 61, of Minooka, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, April 21, 2022 at home.  Judy had bravely battled numerous medical problems for many years and is now at peace.

Born February 6, 1961 in Joliet, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Helen L. (Olson) McCoy of Lockport.  She was raised in Plainfield and was a graduate of Plainfield Township High School where she was a member of the cross country team. She later studied horticulture at Joliet Junior College.  In addition to being a busy wife and mother, Judy operated her own cleaning service working for private homeowners and local businesses.

Judy was a loving and devoted wife and mother with a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh.  She loved all animals, especially dogs and birds, and she enjoyed feeding the birds in her yard where she grew beautiful flowers and plants.   She also liked warm vacations on the beach, short getaway trips, riding bikes, shopping, watching crime dramas and comedies, and listening to music.  Cookouts and family gatherings, one of her favorite activities, will never be the same without her.

Judy will be remembered forever for her resiliency, compassion, kindness and selflessness.  Her hard work and her loving, caring and helpful personality will live on as an example to us all.

Despite struggling courageously with her own ailments for over 30 years, Judy still was the caregiver to her parents in their final years, was always concerned about the health and well-being of others, and was willing to help anyone in need without exception.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Ronald H. “Ron” Budzinski of Minooka; two children, Michael John (Ellen) Budzinski and Lauren Nicole (Mike) Luttrell, both of Yorkville; two granddaughters, Micah and a new arrival on the way in May; and one brother, John (Anne) McCoy of Streator.

A Memorial Gathering for Judy Budzinski will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet.  Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be private.
