James Lee Hamilton
"Jim"
Age 73. Suddenly, Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Mississippi and a lifelong Rockdale resident. A U.S. Army veteran. Retired from MSL (Joliet Wrought Washer), after over 35 years of service. Formerly employed at General Refractories, AP Green and Construction and Mining, Inc. Member of the Dale A.C., Loyal and Protective Order of the Moose Lodge #300; and former member of the Rockdale VFW Post.
Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Florence "Flo" (nee Sucharski) Hamilton of Rockdale; three daughters, TerryAnn (Michael) Rochkes of Channahon, Jill (Bernard) Jarosz of Channahon and Elizabeth (fiancé Rosalio Rodriguez) Hamilton of Rockdale; two sons, James D. "JD" (Loretta) Hamilton and Scott L. (Diana) Hamilton both of Rockdale; seven grandchildren, Melissa (Jason) Farrar, Adam (Melissa) Rochkes, Timothy Smith, Lillyann and Corine Hamilton, Emilie and Sarah Hamilton; four great-granddaughters; three brothers; and three sisters; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents; and one brother in infancy.
Funeral Services for James Lee Hamilton will be Friday, May 23, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gil Palmer officiating. Memorials to the American Lung Association or the ALS Foundation, in his name would be appreciated. Private interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m. at:
