Obituary of Christopher T. Cosgrove

Christopher T. Cosgrove

Christopher T. Cosgrove, age 44, born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago, and a longtime resident of Missoula, MT, passed away peacefully in Rosemont, IL, on April 26, 2022.

Christopher is survived by his mother, Marla Vasquez; his sister, Jennifer Cosgrove; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Thomas Cosgrove; paternal grandparents, Robert and Marian Cosgrove; maternal grandparents, Anthony and Margaret Vasquez; and uncle, John Cosgrove.

Christopher loved golf, poetry, the Chicago White Sox, and many types of music, especially Classic Rock, the Grateful Dead, and Buddy Guy.  He enjoyed cooking and was the ultimate foodie.  He was friendly, witty, and hard working.  Christopher walked to and from Church services every Sunday and loved the sense of community he felt while there.  Christopher was always ready for an adventure or long car ride.  He loved the mountains of Montana and Wyoming and looked back fondly on the time he lived out West.  He loved his family and always enjoyed family get-togethers.

Christopher lived this amazing and fulfilling life despite living with a mental illness, a truth he never denied and never stopped actively treating.  His family is proud of him and hopes acknowledging his truth will help to end the stigma of mental illness.
