To my dearest Big Sister: You and I became pals when I got older and could appreciate and understand what a really talented, ambitious, generous and loving person you were. I thought you were brave to go to Florida for your college degree. Actually I was in awe of your pursuit of continuing education and degrees (teaching credential.)
Every time we were together in Wisconsin at yours and Tom's cottage, I learned of a new interest of yours and the results of your diligent production, never dropping
the other arts you pursued (painting, stamp collecting, quilting, and family albums with historical annotations gathered from family members and research.) I would be remiss not to mention what a fabulous cook you were. I am so grateful to you for allowing me to say goodby in your final precious and blessed moment.
