Obituary of Ruth Storcz
Age 72, of Joliet passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at her late residence. She was born in Chicago, the daughter of the late Eric and Lillian (Tulke) Haupt. She was formerly of Bridgeport and resided in Joliet since 2003. Ruth met Norb Storcz and were high school sweethearts. It was from that time on she remained by Norb’s side throughout his tour of Vietnam while serving in the U.S. Army until returning home in January of 1970. They married on April 18, 1970. After fulfilling her passion of raising her family, Ruth joined the workforce and was employed by W.R.C. Truck Parts and Road Ready Truck Maintenance. She was a member of the Harley Owners Group since 1991. Ruth enjoyed riding the Harley with her husband, camping at several locations all across this big, beautiful country of ours. As the years went by, she thoroughly enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow.
Surviving is her loving husband and best friend of 52 years, Norb A. Storcz of Joliet; her two sons, Tom (Penny) Storcz of Plainfield and Mikey (Kristen) Storcz of Joliet; two grandsons, Joey and Jake Storcz; her brother, Rick (Nonie) Haupt of Homer Glen; nieces, Lisa (Matt) Ramos and Julie (Adam) Walton.
Visitation for Ruth Storcz will be Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet from 4:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 8:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately by the family at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
