Obituary of Edward J. Rogers

Edward J. Rogers, age 49, of Joliet, passed away Wednesday, July 6 at the Parc of Joliet.  He was born September 21, 1972 in Palos Heights, IL to Anna Marie and the late William T. Rogers.

He is the loving father of Alexis Rogers (Corey Benson);  adoring papa of Dove’Len Hedrick and Miles Benson; beloved son of Anna Marie (Waite) and the late William T. Rogers; brother of  William Jr., Susan, Robert and Terrance Rogers; and dear uncle of four nieces.

Edward grew up in Joliet and graduated from Joliet West High School.  He worked in construction and liked to bowl.  He enjoyed the companionship of many pets in his household, which included his dog, Harley and four cats, Peter, Benji, and Cookie, and the newest grand-cat, Bumpers.  Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Will County Humane Society.   

As it was Edward’s wish, private services were held, followed by cremation rites.  Fred C.
